You're Never To Old To Find The Free Road

For adults, finding a new hobby or rediscovering your love for an old hobby means finding a new love in life. Maybe you have only dreamed of riding a motorcycle before being too caught up in life to make it happen. Or maybe you have fond memories of cruising through your neighborhood on your bicycle, meeting up with friends, and feeling the wind glide through your hair as you zoom down the road. Biking is a freeing hobby for active adults, but if you wanted to take it a step further? There is never a wrong time to have fun, live your best life, and pursue your interest. You can start riding a motorcycle at any age, and the Holbrook team, having senior living communities in Acworth and across the Southeast, is here to support your passions. Below is our guide on what to consider before getting back on the road.

What can you possibly give your still active, still youthful dad this Father’s Day? Yes, he may seem to have everything, but there are still a lot of things that he’ll surely appreciate, especially if it comes from you. Admittedly, coming up with a great gift idea can be a monumental task when you first think about it, but if you just take some time to understand what your Dad likes and enjoys, you’ll surely find something special. And, here are some more ideas from Holbrook Life, your senior living community provider for Acworth, Woodstock Dunwoody.

It’s As Easy As Riding A Bike

Who of us doesn’t remember the rush of excitement when cruising down a new, undiscovered bike path? Our banana seat and sissy bar in place to allow for our best friend to catch a ride, with the wind whipping past, we were free! Well at least until after Labor Day when school started back. But somewhere along the lines we forgot that thrill, we traded our trusted “blue comet” for a Honda, and sacrificed the freedom of the open road to four walls and a desk. However, no one said that biking had to remain in our childhood. In fact, thanks to the excellent exercise factor, biking is making a great comeback for many active adults.
