As Mary Davis once said “To walk in nature is to witness a thousand miracles.” Being around wildlife and beautiful landscapes is not only therapeutic and calming, but it also opens ones eyes to see all of the amazing miracles of nature. With all of the breathtaking natural landscapes in this world it is hard to find just one to put on your bucket list, so we’ve made it easy for you and found some of our top 3 nature spots.
1.) The Great Barrier Reef
Spanning over to 1,800 miles and being one of the 7 Great Wonders of the World, the Great Barrier Reef is the largest living organism on Earth. Right off the coast of Queensland, visitors come from all over the world to marvel at its beauty. The reef is home to whales, dolphins, turtles, hundreds of different corals, and thousands of fish species. This makes it a paradise for divers and snorkelers alike.
Unfortunately the reef won’t be around for much longer due to rising sea temperatures that are killing the coral. This makes it all the more a must see landscape to visit.
2.) Galapagos Islands
This list would not be complete if we didn’t include the Galapagos Islands. With it’s abundance of wildlife the islands served as the inspiration for Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution. Wildlife enthusiasts love visiting the Galapagos Islands. With so many different animal species inhabiting the landscape you are bound to get up close with some of the animals. From dolphins, to seals, to a long list of various bird species the Galapagos Islands is a nature lovers dream.
3.) Mount Kilimanjaro
With it being the tallest mountain in Africa, at 19,341 ft. above sea level, trekking Mount Kilimanjaro is on the bucket list of many hikers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. This incredible mountain offers a beautiful natural landscape with lush vegetation, crystal clear waterfalls, and spectacular sunsets. Wildlife supporters also enjoy visiting the park, as they can also experience African wildlife. While you may not see large animals on the mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro National Park is home to zebras, elephants and various other wildlife forms.
